How Beer Saved The World Part II
As promised here is Part two of "How Beer Saved The World" The Discovery Channel documentary
Highlights include
Egyptians having antibiotics not discovered until the 1930's
How beer saved millions of lives in the Middle Ages
Monks brewing beer (By the way, church would be the most popular place on Sunday mornings if they still offered beer)
How beer helps establish America
Hot chicks at Octoberfest (8:27 mark)
Basically it has everything you could ask for
How Beer Saved The World
Watched this show over break starting at midnight. Maybe it was the few beers I had beforehand, but this documentary/show had me riveted.
Scientists and historians line up to tell the amazing, untold story of how beer helped create math, poetry, pyramids, modern medicine, labor laws, and America.
Beer is single handedly one of the best things in the first place, now to find out it's responsible for all this?! Literally my mind was blown. Part II will be posted tomorrow.

Back In Action
So the Thanksgiving break has come and gone, it's back to the grind, not only for school, but back to the blog as well. Coming back with a big bang, let me introduce Facts and Chicks. This site is dedicated to two awesome things, ridiculously hot women, and random facts. For example (click on the picture to see a larger version):

It's Been some time..
Hello Internet!
Sorry this past week has been ridiculous. It was topped off by a 3 hour performance by Foo Fighters live at the Garden as their last stop on the U.S. tour. Unbelievable doesn't begin to describe how awesome their concert was. So until tomorrow, when I have the chance to get back to posting the cool stuff, here's a Walk off of Foo Fighter's lastest album Wasting Light.

Pillow Fight- Literally
![]() |
| Watch out for the flying ninja stars.. |
However, the whole childhood fantasy of a "Pillow fight with Princess Leia" is a possibility at this point. Although, seeing Carrie Fischer today in a pillowf fight/lingerie should be considered a nightmare.

Not Cool Stuff: Running into a Wall
So this may not exactly be considered a "Cool Stuff" Story, maybe I'll start a weekly "Not Cool Stuff" post, regardless, this is pretty funny. Fabio Santos, of Brazilian Serie B side Vitoria, scores a ridiculously lucky goal off the top/back of his head. The real fireworks come after when he decides to try and celebrate with the fans. Watch out for the bushes and then the 15 ft wall bro.

Good Morning
Good Morning and Happy Friday internet world! I've been up for a few hours now, because I have work to do for my two classes today.. Should have done it last night, but brewing beer was clearly a priority. It was the first batch I've brewed outside of my house, so it was a different experience. Anyways, here's to that first cup of coffee this morning, have a great Friday!

Snow White and the Huntsman
So I am oddly intrigued by this movie. Not because it is a variation of Snow White, although I would love to know what the original storyline of Snow White is at this point. But because it has a combination of Thor (aka actor Chris Hemsworth) and CharlizeTheron (as the evil queen.) That alone makes this movie sort of bad ass.
As far as I know, this movie comes out next summer.
Wenger on Brek Shea
So in keeping with today's soccer themed cool stuff, here is Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, on FC Dallas player Brek Shea. Our American homeboy has been killin it in MLS and on the US National Team. So this winter he's getting a chance to train with Arsenal. That's cool and all, but I think whats even better is the fact that we have one of the most storied EPL coaches talking directly about an American soccer player. Its amazing how far American soccer has come in a short period of time. 'Merica!
If you know English football, you will enjoy this
So this is definitely one of my favorite comedy clips. Basically, what's going on here is the comedian, he goes by Smithy, is a plumber, and also a huge fan of the English National soccer team. (Think Team USA basketball, but for soccer.. and in England) Anyway, he stumbles across important players for the national team and gives him a motivational piece of his mind.
Other clips by Smithy can be found here and here. The second one is a bit long, so if you had to choose, watch the first one.
Cool Stuff approved

The Sound Of Football
I have no idea why Pepsi is a technology leader in having blind people play soccer, but this is absolutely one of the most impressive things ever. I mean I have a hard time playing with both my eyes glued to the ball, some of these guys are pretty good on the ball! I wish we could have heard what it sounds like to hear what the player hears during a game, but it obviously works. Cool Stuff indeed
Peugot EX1
The EX1 is being designed to celebrate Peugot's 200th anniversary. Here's something even cooler, it is completely electric. Yup, it has two electric motors, one in the front and the other in the back, designed to ensure constant torque of 240 Nm in the both front and rear.

Study Session: Creation Lake - Silversun Pickups
For those of us who are studying, here is a lovely study companion in the form of Silverson Pickups. The title of the song is Creation Lake. Absolute chill song, very relaxing song, allowing me to get some serious work done. However, spending time posting this is just helping me procrastinate at this point. SO back to value merchants and Business to Business it is.
Back Again!
Why hi there world, I must apologize for my brief absence. We had playoffs for soccer, and our season ended at the hands of SNHU on Tuesday. (Sidenote: SNHU lost to Franklin Pierce 1-0 today in the conference finals) Anyways time to get the cool stuff cranking again. So this is called a kitewing, and it is a combination of skiing/ snowboarding and hang gliding. Skip to the 0:45 second mark to skip most the introductions. If i was any good at skiing, I would be all over this extreme sport, however, the best case scenario would land me in a hospital if I ever tried this.
