Chili Chili Peppers Still Rocking

While no one is denying that the internet has changed the music industry, for some ways I think it's been for the better. For instance, bands like OK GO are being ridiculously creative with their videos, and its garnered them attention.
Not only are the RHCP getting into the creative music video theme, they killed it. Unbelievably cool that you can pan through different rooms during the video.

Abraham Lincoln- Vampire Hunter

This is the new trailer for "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter" Honestly I'm not a huge fan of his movies and style of film making, but you take one of America's greatest heroes and put him in a situation murdering vampires? Its like Cowboys and Aliens, terrible movie, but its cowboys vs aliens, of course a guy like me is going to see these types of movies.

Frank Turner - If Ever I Stray

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Here's a song by an English fellow named Frank Turner. It's off his album "England Keep My Bones" which was released on August 29th 2011. He's clearly a fan of being English. But in all seriousness this is the type of song that's been stuck in my head all day because it's unbelievably catchy and forces you to sing along. So I hope it does the same to you

Video of the Dat:OK Go - Needing/Getting

The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck.

For comparison, here's the actual song, not shot with any cars or ridiculousness, pretty accurate all things considered

Everton Fan Practicing Hancuffing Himself

*Language not safe for work

So at the close of last month, an Everton fan handcuffed himself to the goalpost. Here we have the villain practicing his dastardly deed. Its a parody of the whole situation, and I got a good chuckle out of it. Enjoy

Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra) - official video

Here's a little music to get the middle of your day going well, the music video is kinda weird, but its a damn good song, been stuck in my head all week. Check out some of their other songs like "Easy Way Out" happy Thursday everybody!
Sidenote: The chick sounds ridiculously similar to Katy Perry, and I love me some Katy Perry

Which is More Awesome? Mike Tyson Island vs Megan Fox Island?

First and foremost, I have no idea who this commercial is for, but it's definitely some sort of Rosetta Stone type program. Irrelevant. Which brings us to the next question which would be better? I honestly have to side with Mike Tyson. An island of Megan Foxes would just be complaining and get jealous at other Megan Foxes for some obscure god knows why reason. HOWEVER Mike Tyson is absolutely loving having his own island. He's even happy to see the two guys, unlike Megan Fox island, where the first thing they did was demand something from them and proceeded to get pissed off. Take me to Mike Tyson Island!

Movie Trailer- Lockout

Starring Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace and set in the near future, Lockout follows a falsely convicted ex- government agent (Pearce), whose one chance at obtaining freedom lies in the dangerous mission of rescuing the President’s daughter (Maggie Grace) from rioting convicts at an outer space maximum security prison.

This looks cool for the same reason I went and saw Cowboys and Aliens, BECAUSE it was cowboys vs aliens... My main man Pearce (from Memento)looks awesome, they're in outer space with guns and crazy people. Boom. At least one ticket sold

Mono Skiing

So I just discovered this crazy awesome sport today, while watching it on the X Games. HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS BEFORE?! This sport looks sweet for a couple of reasons 1) these dude actually seem like genuine guys. One of the competitors is an ex-marine, this guy who won the competition (from last year) couldn't be happier, not really because he won, but because he was having just a damn good time. 2) It looks insanely hard. They're on one ski and expected to land jumps, there isn't a lot of give in having one ski. PLUS if you crash or slip you're down and out for a long time, its tough coming back from something like that.

Playing Soccer In Giant Bubble Suits

This stuff is hilarious, these guys, who previously did "electrifying football" (Click for link to other video!)are at it again. This time the players are using gigantic bubble wraps around themselves to land awesome, yet safe hits on each other.

This type of creative stuff can only be done with a large scale budget, and a television show behind it, which means that I need to join this show because this stuff is awesome.

Attractive lady plays an actual ocarina

So I played Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword over break. Awesome game to say the least. After beating the game, I went back and started playing Ocarina of Time, I had to, it wasn't and option really. Again another fantastic game by Nintendo. Upon browsing the interweb, I stumbled upon this gem of a female. Not only is she attractive, but she can play one helluva ocarina! Maybe because she can play this magical device is what makes her so hot? Either way, there is a slew of videos of this lady playing Zelda songs and much more, check em out.

Talk About a Huge Explosion

"My brother has been working on a way to make large explosions without the inherit danger of real explosives. Sawdust ignites well when mixed with the right ratio of air, so he devised this contraption. I hope to have an example of this at night- which is a truly spectacular effect! The intent of this is for special effects in a low-budget war film I'm scheming to start soon... err, someday."
This video is featured in the MythBusters' "Viral Videos" episode, aired on Sept. 3, '08.

This video says a ton about dudes in general. Some guy in the comments section asked "why didn't you so-and-so computer program? it blah blah blah"
Why did they make this gigantic explosion? Because they could, and its fucking awesome. They are never going to make a "low budget war film." They just wanted to make a BIG FIERY BOOM that towers over the surrounding area, and no man should hate on that.

Darth Vader Taking a PK

This is a pretty self-explanatory video, and that's why it is awesome, Darth Vader is taking a pk. Although I don't think his outfit is FIFA approved, unless the rest of his team is also wearing a cape and mask.

50th Post! & (Crazy time lapse video too!)

So this is my 50th post on this here mblog (Champagne bottle pops) Woohoo. Just getting started on awesomeness. So here we have a time lapse view from space via the crew of the International Space Station. Check out the Auroras Borealis and Australis. Borealis is the northern lights, and Australis is the southern lights for you non-scientific folk out there. My meteorology professor is somewhere right now crying because this video is so awesome.

Watch this dudes crazy fast hands

Holy smokes this guy moves fast. If this was in fast forward, that would make a helluva lot more sense. He could probably be a dj while he's at it.

My big question is: how do people come across these amazing talents? Is it like superhero style, you get bit by a radioactive spider- boom instant webbing; flashed by some radioactive waves while in outer space- boom Fantastic Four. If that's the case I'm patiently waiting for my super awesome ability that still leaves me as a street entertainer

Getting the New Year started right- with Will Ferrell & Beer

So Will Ferrell is a funny guy- no doubts about that. Not only that, but he loves beer, particularly Old Milwaukee Beer. Unfortunately Old Milwaukee is only available in the midwest- which is why I've never really heard of the beer, but I can't imagine that being much different than PBR.

Anyways, he loves the beer so much he did the commercial for free. Which is pretty cool all things considered.

Not as good as this Pabst Blue Ribbon commercial though

Buy Pabst Blue Ribbon, help save America. Drink it ya asshole
